The corpse trolley is used for transport from the place of death in the hospital ward to the morgue, even over outdoor or uneven terrain. It is made entirely of surgical grade stainless steel and consists of an electro-welded tubular supporting frame with no screws or rivets, thus ensuring stability and strength.
Above this frame is the body stretcher, also made of stainless steel of the same grade and shaped with a central inclination to contain any liquids. This stretcher can be removed completely, thanks to the special handles at the head and foot ends, and can also be used separately from the trolley as it is self-supporting. The trolley has four castors, two with a diameter of 250 mm and two with a diameter of 600 mm, which are perfectly suited to outdoor use and on uneven or rough terrain. The two small castors also have a foot-operated parking brake.
